They have tend to have less caffeine than their lighter-roasted counterparts. Caffeine is a compound that is \u003cspan\u003es\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eomewhat \u003c\/span\u003eroasted out of the coffee bean, and the longer it's roasted the more the caffeine dissipates.
